DrummerA graduate of the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies in Bialystok) and the Post-secondary School of Jazz at the Frederic Chopin State School of Music in Warsaw (2nd level), Mariusz Mocarski participated also in intensive courses organised by renowned percussion schools: the Drummers Collective in New York and the Drum-Tech in London.
He is a session drummer, performing and recording with numerous artists representing different musical styles.
Mariusz Mocarski cooperated with Patrycja Markowska, Krzysztof Kiljański, Agnieszka Chylińska, Robert Janowski, Reni Jusis, Justyna Steczkowska, Zakopower, Bisquit, Chemia, Marysia Sadowska, Grzegorz Markowski, Zbigniew Wodecki, Halina Frąckowiak, Krzysztof Kasowski, Magda Femme, Sylwia Wiśniewska, Julita&Paula, Mikis/Wolski, Olga Bończyk and many others...
He also plays classical music (the National Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the European Festival Orchestra in Gstaad (Switzerland), the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Hall of the National Philharmonic and many others) and jazz (performing with the Jazz Radio Big-Band conducted by Zbigniew Namysłowski, the K. Sadowski Trio, Tamara Reaven). He participated in recording of over fourty CDs and performs on festivals in the USA, Lebanon, India and the entire Europe.
Mariusz Mocarski is also an active educationist with over fifteen years of experience in education, holding a title of certified teacher. His students were awarded prizes in over 30 competitions in Poland and abroad, as soloists or chamber musicians, and start working as professional percussionists.
Since 2010, he has been a member of Towarzystwo Sztuki Perkusyjnej, the Polish division of the Percussive Art Society – the largest world percussion art organisation.
Two years later he became a Board Directors Member of Poland PAS Chapter.
For the last several years he has co-organised the CROSSDRUMMING International Percussion Art Festival in Warsaw, being charged with artists playing drums. He conducts shows and percussion workshops addressed to drums pupils, students and teachers.
Currently is an endorser of PEARL acoustic drums, PROMARK sticks as well EVANS drumheads and GEWA e-drums.
In 2014 he performed as a solist at prestigious XIV International Percussion Festival in Lithuania.
Mariusz is a author of educational articles for Top Drummer magazine as well interviews with Polish Hybrid Drummers for Perkusista magazine.
